  • After renting a unit online/by phone, you will receive a email with your gate code and unit number that will permit your access to your unit or parking space on day your billing period begins.

  • CoastGuard Self Storage has 24/7 high quality CCTV camera’s that can capture licence plates and people in the dark. We also are fully fenced with barb wiring and have an electronic gate for entry/exit.

  • CoastGuard partners with Tripemco Insurance Group to provide insurance for good stored in Self Storage. During the rental process, you have the option to select insurance which is billed monthly. Please click here for coverage details. All vehicles that are stored in outdoor parking spaces or within drive-up access units must have proof of insurance from a vehicle insurance provider. By failing to protect your goods with an insurance program, you assume all risk of loss in the rare event that something should happen.

  • The stipulations around items you can store are clearly outlined in the lease you sign, but common examples include food, which attracts pests, other perishable goods, flammable materials such as propane, or materials with risk of explosion, such as firearms and ammunition, or paint canisters. In addition, tenants are also prohibited from storing hazardous materials anywhere on our premises.

  • Our billing cycle is month-to-month, with no long-term contracts. You may move in or move out on any day during the month, however for simplicity, your rent is always due on the first of each month. Our monthly billing is not only convenient, but helps you save money; you make 12 rental payments in the year, compared with the 13 payments charged by many other self-storage companies with a 4-week billing cycle.
